A couple of amazing things happened during the Moto2 and Moto3 races in Qatar last weekend.
Firstly, Nico Antonelli won the Moto3 race by just 0.007 seconds. The small margin was amazing becasue, despite the lead changing 27 times between 5 different riders, Antonelli only took the lead of the race for the first time within metres of the finish line.
Secondly, 7 of the top 8 riders on the Moto2 grid jumped the start and received penalties. The only rider in the top 8 without a jump start penalty crashed all by himself in the early laps so Thomas Luthi (starting 9th) had a much easier path to victory than he could’ve ever imagined.
